Folios 163-164: Alexander Fraser, Holylands Hotel, Strand. Covering letter for the enclosed copy of a letter from him to Mr John Staniforth, Member of Parliament for Kingston upon Hull. As the names of Lord Mulgrave [Henry Phipps, 1st Earl of Mulgrave] and Lord Gambier are mentioned he thought you should be copied in.

Letter dated 21 May 1810 by Alexander Fraser, Holylands Hotel, Strand to John Staniforth, Member of Parliament for Kingston upon Hull and agent for the Merchants of Hull. [Total seven sides]. Reply to your note received yesterday with a copy of a letter you had written to Mr Egginton, the Mayor of Hull. About"that Captain [Alexander] Fraser left his station [in HMS Vanguard] much earlier than was expected, and that the worst consequences were to be apprehended." [Mentions;:- A Russian Convoy on the 12 and 15 November 1807, Captain John Phillimore of HMS Belette].
