Folios 252-253; Helen Fraser, Edinburgh. Advises she persuaded her husband, Captain Alexander Fraser to move from Dundee to Edinburgh because of his poor health. He didn't wish to draw the bill for payment of the Fencibles as he didn't wish to enter into a new account with the Navy Board having left his accounts in HMS Vanguard in an unsound state. His health has improved now and should be able to reestablish himself in a few weeks. Asks that he be granted leave of absence to avert the absolute ruin of himself and family. Asks for a reply to be directed to Lieutenant Bruce, Sea Fencibles, Musselburgh.
