Advises that he had intended to take up his command of the Sea Fencibles, having arrived in Dundee, but his health is such that he must travel to Edinburgh but asks that when his health improves he can return to take up his post. Asks for confirmation from the Admiralty to be sent to Lieutenant John Bruce, Sea Fencibles, Musselburgh.
