Folio 246: Alexander Fraser, Perth. Advises that Lieutenant John Bruce, his Brother in Law and Robert Bruce and Robert Hunter, his wife's Brothers in law will be proceeding with him to Edinburgh on account of his health and as they plan to proceed via Dundee this letter will be sent from the Post Office there. Asks that any communications are addressed to Lieutenant John Bruce , Sea Fencibles, Musselburgh.
Folio 247: enclosed with folio 246. Letter dated 11 April 1808 by John Bruce, Robert Hunter and Robert Bruce, Perth to the Admiralty. Certifies that Captain Alexander Fraser's health makes it necessary he should return to Edinburgh for medical advise and the care of his family and it would be improper for him to take command of the Sea Fencibles at present.
