Folios 221-222: Thomas Forrest, Regulating Captain, Yarmouth. Acknowledges the instruction to pay Sergeant Lee of the 44th Regiment the bounty for apprehending Thomas Moore and Ralph Bowden. Believes the regulations under which he operates direct him not to pay money for apprehending deserters unless he knows what ship they have deserted from and has a certificate from her captain to say their wages have been stopped. He was waiting for this information before paying Sergeant Lee, but has now sent him the sum of £2.
