Folios 152-153: Charles Elphinstone Fleeming, HMS Bulwark, Spithead. Reports that three men, Martin Vernon, who claims to be an Austrian subject, John Jess, who says he is Prussian, and John Silandin, who claims to be [Danish ?], have applied to their respective consuls to be discharged from the service. They have not yet received any reply and are anxious that the ship may be sent abroad before they do so. Asks for directions from the Admiralty.
