Folios 255-256: Francis Fayerman, HMS Athenian, Spithead. He encloses a letter from Lieutenant James Wallace who is unwell and at the age of 50 no longer able to carry out his duties. He asks that his requests are met.
Folios 257-258: enclosed with folios 255-256. Letter dated 13 August 1805 by James Wallace, Lieutenant, HMS Athenian. He says that he is unwell and unable to carry out his duties on the ship. He asks to be given a post in the Sea Fencibles, or at a Signal station.
