Folios 214-215: Francis Fayerman, HMS Athenian, St Helens. He is under orders to convoy the East India ships bound to China. The Chairman of the East India Company has given the commanders of their ships directions to receive water and provisions that he might wish to put on board of the as HMS Athenian is victualled and stored for 8 months and cannot store her full quantity of water. Asks if the Victualling Commissioners at that port may be directed to put water and provisions on board any 2 or 3 of these ships.
