Folios 626-627: Robert Forbes, HMS Pluto, Long Reach. Sending an account of the ship and asking if he may be allowed a party of marines, as they would be most useful in preventing further desertions (there have been a few). Also notes that he has received letters from Liverpool to the effect that many able seamen are hiding thereabouts who would be willing to serve with him on the Pluto if allowed and he is sure that in that case he would soon complete his complement with very good men.
