Folios 609-610: Robert Forbes, Deptford. Reports that the builder at the Deptford yard, Mr Peck, is of the opinion that the Pluto will run for several years with no further repairs, and that she is perfectly capable of carrying in addition to her present complement of guns, four 18-pound carronades and two 6-pound long guns, which Forbes agrees with and asks for permission to implement.
Folio 611: enclosure with folios 609-610. Unsigned note about the status of HMS Pluto, says that she was erroneously referred to as a 'bomb' in letters, and that during the whole of the last war she carried 121 men and was mainly employed on the Newfoundland station. During one of the armaments before 1792 she had been fitted out as a fireship, but in December of that year she was again fitted out as a sloop.
