Folios 599-600: Robert Forbes, Liverpool. Encloses a letter from the commander of the Rosa tender, explaining that essential repairs will delay sailing.
Folios 601-602: enclosure with folios 599-600. Letter dated 12 August 1803 by Lieutenant Thomas Grove, of HMS Rosa, Liverpool, says that on stripping the mainmast to overhaul the rigging they find it in so bad a state it will need to be taken out for repairs, and hopes this work can be completed by the following Friday if not before.
