Description

Folios 222-223: Edward James Foote, HMS Sea Horse [HMS Seahorse], Portsmouth Harbour. Reply to letter dated 14 October 1802, I enclose the appointments of Lieutenant George Rutherford and Mr John Valrent - Purser of HMS Seahorse.

Folios 224-225: enclosures with folios 222-223. Vice Admiral Peter Rainier, HMS Victorious, Back Bay, Trincomaley [Trincomalee]. To Mr John Valrent - Purser, HMS Trident. Dated 11 May 1802. Letter of appointment as Purser of HMS Seahorse

Folio 226: enclosure with folios 222-223. Vice Admiral Peter Rainier, HMS Victorious, Back Bay, Trincomaley [Trincomalee]. To Lieutenant George Rutherford, HMS Trident. Dated 11 May 1802. Letter of appointment as Lieutenant on HMS Seahorse in the room of Lieutenant Francis Johnson Snell by Exchange.
