Folios 201-202: Matthew Flinders, HMS Investigator, Port Jackson, New South Wales. As Journals of the Commander and Officers of HMS Investigator should not be sent before the end of the voyage, he requests an order for a certificate that journals are lodged in his hands may be accepted in passing the accounts at the Navy Office in lieu of the journals themselves and that compensation pay may be paid on production of such a vcertificate.
