Folios 210-211: Edward James Foote, HMS Seahorse, Falmouth. Despite flying a signal all day, none of the transports have made sail. It is hailing and blowing but they could leave if the Masters were paying attention. The Amy, J.Hunter Master, London only had a Mate and two lads on board and nearly hit HMS Sea Horse. On sending men to help he found the Master and crew were ashore. Everyone is commenting on the bad behaviour of the ships. He has been firing guns all afternoon to prevent boats going ashore.
Folios 212-213: enclosure with folios 210-211. Letter dated 23 January 1801 by [?] Donnelly, HMS Maidstone, Falmouth. He was prevented from leaving by the Hind and the Amy who laid across his stern. There was only a man and a boy on the Amy as all hands had been sent ashore. The exceptional bad behaviour of the whole convoy has prevented the sailing of the fleet.
