Administrative / biographical background

The YAH prefix was created in 1993 for use by Technology Programmes and Services Division of the DTI, for papers on the subject of Design Methodologies and Manufacturing. During 1994 use of the prefix transferred to Electronics and Engineering Division of the DTI. Other subjects for which these Divisions had responsibility included Technologies for Business Processes, High Performance Computing and Networking, Optoelectronics and Compound Semiconductors and the Open Microprocessing Initiative.
