Incorporated by act of 4th July 1836 (6 & 7 Wm IV, cap.103), and leased to Great Eastern Railway Company for 999 years under parliamentary powers obtained in 1844.
Northern and Eastern Railway Company was vested in Great Eastern Railway Company from 1st July 1902 by Great Eastern Railway Act of 1902.
Great Eastern Railway Company became part of London and North Eastern Railway Company from 1st January 1923 under North Eastern, Eastern and East Scottish Group Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 30th December 1922.
