Incorporated under their act of 3rd August 1846. The company was amalgamated with the Worcester & Hereford Railway Company into the Oxford Worcester & Wolverhampton Railway Company as from 1st July 1860 and the name of the amalgamated company became the West Midland Railway Company under the West Midland Railway Act 14th June 1860. This company was amalgamated with the Great Western Railway Company as from 1st August 1863 by the Great Western Railway (West Midland Railway) Amalgamation Act of 13th July 1863.
