Description
Chancery, United Kingdom High Commission - Restitution, General Policy. <p>Correspondence between the Political Director and Head of Chancery at the Office of the United Kingdom High Commission and several divisional chiefs and senior officials attached to the Foreign Office, dated January-August 1951. Concerns the development of restitution policy, and in particular issues related to the implementation of Military Government Law 59, including possible amendments and practical recommendations for dealing with complex legal problems. No specific reference to cultural property.</p>
