Incorporated by act of 7th June 1861. Under Agreement scheduled to and confirmed by section 89 of Llantrissant and Taff Vale Junction Railway Act of 20th June 1870, line was leased to Taff Vale Railway Company for 999 years as from 1st July 1875. Company was amalgamated with Taff Vale Railway Company as from 1st July 1889 by Taff Vale Railway (Amalgamations & Capital) Act 26th August 1889. Taff Vale Railway Company was amalgamated with Great Western Railway Company as from 1st January 1922 under Great Western Railway (Western Group) Preliminary Amalgamation Scheme 25th March 1922.
