First meeting of Committee formed to construct this Railway took place on 2nd October 1830 but it appears from Minute of 21st September 1831 that Company failed in their application to Parliament. Last meeting recorded is that held on 13th December 1831 wherein it was decided to adjourn until 22nd December, but no further entries appear.
