Incorporated under their act of 4th July 1844. By Act 30th June 1845, power was given to lease company to Midland Railway Company, lease being sealed on 28th October 1846. Lease was confirmed by act of 24th July 1851 and by same act, company was incorporated in Midland Railway Company. Books of the Leeds and Bradford Railway Company were finally closed on 4th October 1852 from which date company became extinct. Midland Railway Company was amalgamated into London Midland and Scottish Railway Company as from 1st January 1923 under North Western, Midland and West Scottish Group Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 30th December 1922.
