Incorporated by act of 5th August 1891. Under Great Central Railway Act of 1906, undertaking was sold to Great Central Railway Company as from 1st January 1907. Great Central Railway Company was vested in London and North Eastern Railway Company from 1st January 1923 by virtue of North Eastern, Eastern and East Scottish Group Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 30th December 1922.
