Incorporated under act of 30th June 1862. Under Section 51 of Midland Railway (Additional Powers) Act 18th July 1881, company was absolutely vested in Midland Railway Company as from 1st July 1881, and by virtue of Section 31 of Midland Railway Act of 25th June 1886, Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Company was dissolved. Midland Railway Company was amalgamated into London Midland & Scottish Railway Company under North Western, Midland and West Scottish Group Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 30th December 1922.
