Registered as limited company on 25th January 1870. By resolutions of board of 24th March 1870, proposal for South Eastern Railway Company to lease and work company in perpetuity was adopted. Powers to construct line by South Eastern Railway Company were included in South Eastern Railway Act of 1st August 1870.
