By act of 8th June 1874, Lynn & Hunstanton Railway Company (which was incorporated under act of 1st August 1861) and West Norfolk Junction Railway Company (which was incorporated under act of 23rd June 1864) were amalgamated to form Hunstanton & West Norfolk Railway Company. Hunstanton & West Norfolk Railway Company was vested in Great Eastern Railway Company from 1st July 1890 under Great Eastern Railway Company Act of 22nd May 1890. Great Eastern Railway Company became part of London & North Eastern Railway Company from 1st January 1923 under North Eastern, Eastern & East Scottish Group Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 30th December 1922.
