Incorporated under Humber Commercial Railway & Dock Acts of 1901, 1904 and 1908, and Great Central Railway Acts of 1905, 1907, 1909 and 1912. Undertaking was leased to Great Central Railway Company for 999 years under agreement dated 15th June 1904 scheduled to Act of 1904. Company was transferred to and absorbed by London & North Eastern Railway from 1st January 1923 under London & North Eastern Railway (Absorption) (No. 1) Scheme 1923 dated 29th June 1923.
