Incorporated under act of 29th July 1864. In London & North Western Railway Special Committee Minute No 6390 dated 4th March 1897 it is recorded that money expended by London & North Western Railway Company in purchase of Holywell Railway be charged to Revenue. London & North Western Railway Company was vested in London Midland & Scottish Railway Company as from 1st January 1923 under North Western, Midland and West Scottish Group Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 30th December 1922.
