Description

Morning Starr: accounts of C Charlton aboard (largely concerning ivory).

Bound ledger by Caleb Charlton, Company Supervisor and Factor on the ship Morning Starr under Benjamin Dale, Commander engaged on a Royal African Company trading voyage to New Calabar (Nigeria). Included are tabulations of trading goods sold and slaves purchased on a daily basis and the purchase of provisions at Cape Lopez and payment of customs dues at Anaonbonea en-route to the West Indies.
