Forcett Railway Company was incorporated under act of 2nd June 1865 (28 & 29 Vic, cap.61). The line was worked by North Eastern Railway Company.

Under London and North Eastern Railway Absorption (No.1) Scheme 1923 dated 29th June 1923, Forcett Railway Company was dissolved and vested in London and North Eastern Railway Company as from 1st January 1923.
