The first recorded meeting of the Exeter Great Western Railway Company is that of 8th November 1845 to propose formation of new company but the last entry records that Company failed in its attempt to get its Bill passed through Parliament and was therefore virtually dissolved, Great WesternRailway Company paying costs.
