The East and West Yorkshire Union Railways Company was incorporated under act of 2nd August 1883. Company was authorised to construct certain Light Railways under Light Railway Orders of 1896 and 1901.
Under London & North Eastern Railway Absorption (No. 1) Scheme 1923 (29.6.1923) East & West Yorkshire Union Railway Company was transferred to and absorbed by London & North Eastern Railway Company from 1st January 1923.
