The Deane Valley Railway Company was incorporated under act of 6th August 1897.

Under London & North Western Railway (North London Railway and Dearne Valley Railway) Preliminary Absorption Scheme 1922 dated 19th December 1922 Dearne Valley Railway Company was dissolved and transferred to and absorbed in London & North Western Railway Company as from 1st January 1922.
