The Colne Valley and Halstead Railway Company was incorporated under an act of 30th June 1856.
The undertaking was transferred to and absorbed by the London and North Eastern Railway Company from 1st January 1923 under London and North Eastern Railway Absorption (No.1) Scheme 1923 dated 29th June 1923.
