The Carmarthen and Cardigan Railway Company was incorporated under the Carmarthen and Cardigan Railway Act of 7th August 1854.
The company amalgamated with the Great Western Railway Company as from 1st July 1881 under the Carmarthen and Cardigan Railway Act of 22nd August 1881.
