PART III. Black Sea (folios 338-402):

Folios 338-358: Appointments of Engineer-Lieutenant George W Le Page RN to the Russian Black Sea fleet, (paper M 02318/14, paper M 02474/14, paper M 03194/14, paper M 04839/14, papers titled N 477/14). British communications including copy of instructions issued to Page and a handwritten note by him.

Folios 359-364: Reported arrival in Black Sea of submarines for use of Turkey, (paper M 02812/14). Foreign Office communications 19-22 October 1914.

Folios 365-369: Hostile action against Odessa. Position of British Colonies in Turkey, (paper M 03149/14). Foreign Office communications, 29-31 October 1914.

Folios 370-375: SS Friedericke; shelled at Novorossisk. (paper M 21419/14). Titled Board of Trade 16 December 1914 (folios 372-374) copy of examination on oath by Samuel Springhall, second mate.

Folios 376-381: Situation at Batoum. Despatch of Consul dated 1 November 1914, (paper M 03918/14). Report by P Stevens, British Consulate.

Folios 382-386: Handwritten account of Russian operation in Black Sea 5 October to 7 November by Engineer-Lieutenant Le Page, (paper M 20272/14).

Folios 387-397: Information as to last cruise of Russian Black Sea fleet and action with Goeben and Breslau 18 November. Handwritten detailed report dated 19 November 1914 by Engineer-Lieutenant George W Le Page, (paper M 04980/14). (Folio 393) drawing showing position of the fleet at 12.10pm on 18 November 1914, and (folio 395) drawing showing courses of the battleships.
