PART I. Report of proceedings, (folios 9-53):

Folios 1-9: Schedule of contents.

Folios 9a-9n: Proceedings of Mediterranean Detached Squadron, (paper M 0944/15). Covering letter and daily diary of events (21 September - 28 December 1914) from Vice Admiral Carden, HMS Indefatigable, for ships under his command in the vicinity of the Dardanelles, dated 6 January 1915.

Folios 10-18: HMS Wolverine, (paper M 03964/14). Destruction of Turkish armed yacht at Vourlah; (folios 13-14) letters of proceedings of HM ships Wolverine and Scorpion from 31 October - 1 November 1914 by Commander Osmond J Prentis relative to the sinking of the Turkish armed vessel.

Folios 19-29: Mediterranean Detached Squadron, (paper M 04376/14). Demonstration by bombardment of forts at the entrance to the Dardanelles 3 November 1914; (folio 26) tracing from chart 1608 showing track followed by allied fleet on the morning of 3 November 1914 during demonstration bombardment of the Dardanelles Forts.

Folios 30-36: Report of Vice Admiral Carden on bombardment, (paper M 04576/14). Mr Palmer late Vice Consul at the Dardanelles: Result of demonstration bombardment of 3 November 1914 and positions of minefields and guns.

Folios 37-41: Report of C E S Palmer, Vice Consul, Dardanelles, details of demonstration bombardment of the outer Dardanelles Forts on 3 November 1914, (paper NID 4604/14).

Folios 42-47: Report of HM Consul, Syra, (paper M 20726/14). Damage done to forts of the Dardanelles by recent bombardment.

Folios 48-53: Submarines B9, B10, B11, (paper M 04377/14), reports of proceedings by Lieutenant George H Pownall, SS Hindustan, dated 5 November 1914.
