The Budleigh Salterton Railway Company was incorporated under an act of 20th July 1894 and was worked by London & South Western Railway Company under an agreement dated 9th August 1894 scheduled to and confirmed by London and South Western Railway Act of 1895.
The company was transferred to London and South Western Railway Company as from 1st January 1912 from which date Budleigh Salterton Railway Company was dissolved under Section 36 of London and South Western Railway Act of 18th August 1911.
