The Buckley Railway Company was incorporated under the Act of 14th June 1860. The company was leased for 1000 years from 30th June 1873 to Wrexham, Mold and Connah's Quay Railway Company under Wrexham, Mold and Connah's Quay Act of 1873.
Under the Great Central Railway Act of 22nd July 1904, the Buckley Railway Company was transferred to Great Central Railway Company.
