The Buckinghamshire Railway Company was incorporated under the Buckinghamshire Railway Act 22nd July 1847. Railways authorised under this act were called "The Buckinghamshire Railways".

The Buckinghamshire Railway Company was dissolved and vested in the London and North Western Railway Company by the London and North Western Railway (Additional Powers) Act 21st July 1879.
