The Buckingham and Brackley Junction Railway Company was incorporated under the Buckinghamshire Railway (Buckingham and Brackley Junction) Act 27th July 1846.
Under Section 34, company was required, on completion of works, to grant to London and Birmingham Railway Company a lease in perpetuity on which London and Birmingham Railway Company was authorised to exercise powers etc. conferred by this Act. Under Section 38 power was also conferred to sell to London and Birmingham Railway Company.
Under the Buckinghamshire Railway Act 22nd July 1847, Buckingham and Brackley Junction Railway Company was (with certain other companies therein recited) dissolved. Said dissolved companies were vested in a new company incorporated as Buckinghamshire Railway Company. Railways operating as a result of this authority were to be called "The Buckinghamshire Railways".
Buckinghamshire Railway Company was dissolved and vested in London and North Western Railway Company by London and North Western Railway (Additional Powers) Act 21st July 1879.
