The Blaydon, Gateshead and Hebburn Railway Company was incorporated under the Blaydon, Gateshead and Hebburn Railway Act of 22nd May 1834. In 1835, the company was vested in the Newcastle upon Tyne and Carlisle Railway Company.

The last meeting of the Blaydon, Gateshead & Hebburn Railway Company board was held in 1839.
