Gilbert O Tigernach, bishop of Annadown, to William Airmyn: sends [copies of] process by kings of England on attempts of archbishop of Tuam, renewed under Malachi [MacAodha], the present archbishop, to reduce bishopric to parochial status. The archbishop's predecessors removed temporalities to the value of £2,000 in the time of the present king's father; this the recipient might now justly seek on the king's behalf through the justiciar of Ireland or his lieutenant. He might also take into the king's hand the temporalities of the bishopric of Mayo, likewise suppressed without consent.
