Robert of Ripplingham, chancellor of York, to William of Hamilton, dean of York: has received royal mandate forbidding dean and chapter of York or their commissary to cite the abbot of St. Mary's York to appear in ecclesiastical causes outside the realm, but has also received papal bull at hands of John of Yaxley, rector of Scrayingham (Scrabingham), ordering citation of abbot; seeks, if possible, a consultation, or restraint of Yaxley from procuring molestation by the Curia. Dated at York.
