Richard le Waleys to John Pecham, archbishop of Canterbury: memorandum that the ancestors of Richard le Waleys gave Preston in Glynde, Sussex, to the abbey of Bec, but that king on death of abbot seized Preston against archbishop's franchise; Richard asks aid of his lord, the archbishop, in this matter, because he dare not proceed against the king's seisin.
