The Birmingham & Oxford Junction Railway Company was incorporated under the Birmingham & Oxford Junction Railway Act 3rd August of 1846. In 1848, the company was vested in the Great Western Railway Company by virtue of Great Western Railway (Additional Powers) Act of 31st August 1848.
