Administrative / biographical background

The Bexley Heath Railway Company was incorporated under an act of 20th August 1883. Under an agreement, dated 17th July 1890 and scheduled to Bexley Heath Railway Act of 1890, the line was worked by the South Eastern Railway Company.

In 1900, the Bexley Heath Railway Company was transferred to South Eastern Railway Company under the South Eastern Railway Act of 10th July.
