The Barnoldswick Railway Company was incorporated under the Barnoldswick Railway Company Act of 12th August 1867. Under Section 61 of the Midland Railway Act of 13th June 1899, the company was transferred to and vested in the Midland Railway Company as from 1st July 1899.
