The Bangor and Caernarvon Railway Company was incorporated under the Bangor & Caernarvon Railway Act of 20th May 1851. From 10th July 1854, the company was vested in the Chester & Holyhead Railway Company under the Bangor & Caernarvon Railway (Transfer) Act of the 10th July 1854.
