Description
(What the record is about)
-
The files in this series, which was started in 1956, were used by the officers of the Records Administration Division and its successor, the Government Services Department, whose responsibility it is to select those records which should be preserved permanently at the Public Record Office and to oversee their transfer into Public Record Office series.
Files contain the formal transfer document, later known as the 'Blue Form' and notes on the documents transferred. Copies of publications etc issued by the Records Administration Division giving advice to government departments are in PRO 52.
