Description

These transcripts from Swedish archives were assembled by Mr W H Bliss between the years 1881 to 1888 in connection with his research, on behalf of the Public Record Office, into State Papers among the Public Archives at Stockholm. The series also includes some reports and notes made by him, 1881 to 1883.

A description of the transcripts appears in Reports of the Deputy Keeper of Public Records, XLIII to L (London, 1882-1889). Volumes XLIII, Appendix II, pp 35-52 and XLV, pp 411-412 are particularly informative, the former volume also containing detailed lists of documents examined by Bliss.
